A guide to Turkey’s best waterparks

Spread the love

When you think of Turkey, exotic landscapes, spices carried across the winds and beautiful garments being sold in markets are what will probably spring to mind. For the thrill-seekers out there though, the Turkish waterpark offering is enough to rival any country in the world.

With this in mind, we’ve put together a brief guide to just a handful of the very best waterparks on offer, so that you don’t miss out on the aquatic experience of a lifetime.

Adaland Aqua Park

Adaland is the top attraction in the Kusadasi region, and is bursting with action-packed rides for all the family. Why not head to the Safari Park area first, where there’s an ocean pool with three diving boards at one side, and kiddies pool on the other. This is all surrounded by the famous Rafting River and seven acres of room for extra fun with a 1900 m² pool. All you’ll need to watch out for are the wild animals, before heading across to the Rain Dance area. Dozens of jets shoot up in this square while music plays all around you. After that, relax in the sandy shades Tropical Beach area.

Aqua Fantasy Aquapark

If it’s slides, chutes and flumes you want, then this is the place for big kids as well as little ones. Treasure Island has little slides and sprays for children, and there are plenty of baby boats for them to enjoy. You’ll find the multi-lane racing flumes and fast-paced snake slides around the rest of the park though, so why not stop by the Super Combo tube slide for the ride of your life? If you prefer things a little more comfortable though, there are still the traditional wave pools and the lazy river for you to relax by.

Atlantis Marmaris Waterpark

This park really does have it all, and is the biggest in Marmaris. Set right on the sea front with its own private beach, sunbeds and umbrellas, Atlantis Marmaris offers everything from slides, a wave pool and mini golf, to bowling, restaurants and bars. For a swirling roller coaster of a ride, head to the Space Bowl slide, or for a scarier experience in pitch blackness, head to the Black Hole and feel the adrenalin pump through your body. If you’d like to go with friend instead, try the multi-passenger Wild River ride, with a true white water rapids feel!

Yali Castle Aquapark

This park is great for families, with a kid’s club that will turn your little ones into pirates for the day while you relax by the beach bar. When you decide to head into the park, there’ll be no end to the number of slides and rides on offer for all ages. For high speeds but a soft, watery landing, take the Kamikaze slide, while the Space Tunnel tube ride will take you out of this world.

Have we convinced you that Turkey is the best place for waterparks? When are you heading out there?
