If you own, or have the option to rent a motorhome, you will find you any your family are able to go on many more holidays without spending a small fortune each and every time. When it comes to where to go, and with the option of taking a ferry or the Eurotunnel, the options are limitless you can go pretty much anywhere in the UK or Europe. If you are renting a motorhome you can do this in most countries, therefore giving you the option to see the world. Before you jump in your motorhome and head off into the sunset, there are some things you should do first, deciding where to stay is one of the most important, and it is best to create a checklist before we go , to remind you of everything you need to do before you go and take with you.

This iconic American road stretches 2451 miles long and crosses through eight states, from Illinois to California. See ghost towns and small, yet thriving, towns on your drive, eat at the many diners along the route and see some quirky roadside attractions. This will give you a taste of diversity, allowing you to experience the real America, away from the hustle and bustle, and meet some fascinating people along the way.


  1. The Outback, Australia:

Australia is perfect for a campervan holiday and though the cities are good for sightseeing, you will get to see the real charm of the country by discovering the outback. The best route to travel is from Adelaide to Darwin, not only will this allow you to visit the Alice Springs, but the route is also littered with national parks and affordable camping sites along the route.


  1. Journey through New Zealand:

New Zealand, the place where Lord of the Rings was filmed, is a stunning country to travel through , the journey will allow you to experience coastal views, snow-topped mountains, lush forestry and modern towns and cities. New Zealand also has plenty of camp sites available that are cost-effective and perfect for travelers to use.

There are a couple of exciting routes to travel in Canada, allowing you to experience the Rockies, forests and the Great Lakes, giving you the opportunity to meet plenty of wildlife including wild elk, caribou and maybe even a grizzly bear. You could travel the ‘Sea to Sky Highway’ (Highway 99) starting from Vancouver and spanning along the mountainous region of the British Columbia, alternatively, take the ‘Yellowhead Highway’ (Highway 66) where you can see the Wells Gray Provincial Park and the Athabasca Glacier or drive the ‘Alaskan Highway’ which offers the ultimate wildlife experience.
